This ancient table or floor massage style from China is based on the Chinese Medicine System. Shiatsu uses static pressure in conjunction with deep stretches, tapping, vibration, pinches, brushing strokes, and skin rolling. Movements are generally slow and repetitive to increase the muscles' ability to relax. However, quicker movements can be used to stimulate weaker muscles and to invigorate the client.
Often referred to as acupressure, Shiatsu follows the same meridian system used in acupuncture, providing similar relief of common ailments.
The therapist will use the palms, fingers, thumbs, forearms, elbows, and fists to ease your muscle tension away using light to firm pressure. (Extra firm pressure is available at the Deep Tissue Values.)
Benefits of Shiatsu:
Clothes can remain on since no oil is used. This is great for body-conscious, mobility-challenged, on-the-go business professionals, sensitive skin, or allergies.
Shiatsu utilizes Traditional Chinese Medicine System, which is great for a variety of ailments and can be combined with acupuncture for greater effect.
Shiatsu can aid with: weight loss, migraines, carpal tunnel, sports injuries, digestive issues, reproductive issues, etc.
It can be practiced on a special floor mat, massage table, or any type of chair.
Packages are available to work specifically on certain conditions, and are paid in full at the beginning of the series.
These packages function best in conjunction with care received from other medical practitioners such as MD, NMD, DC, or L.Ac.
Ideally these packages would consist of weekly or bi-weekly treatments, and are not necessarily consisting of full-body work.

An ancient technique from Thailand that combines static pressure and deep stretches with an energetic focus for an especially rigorous massage. Thai is designed to eliminate tension throughout the body. Often referred to as yoga massage, this floor based massage can be both relaxing and energizing with assisted stretches similar to yoga poses.
The practitioner will use palms, fingers, thumbs, fists, forearms, elbows, knees, and feet to apply pressure to tense muscles. Assisted stretches preformed alone or in conjunction with pressure help to remove lactic acid build-up and increase range of motion. Please wear stretchy comfortable clothing to a Thai massage.
Benefits of Thai Massage:
The ancient Thai system is used, which is very similar to Traditional Chinese Medicine System, and can aid similar issues/ailments.
